Shaune Jones: Family ‘not giving up hope’ as they make desperate appeal for man missing for nearly four years

The family of a man who has been missing for almost four years have said they are “not giving up hope” on being reunited.

Shaune Jones, 49, was last seen in June 2017. He has not been heard from since.

Shaune ran his own business in the Greenwich area and his disappearance was out of character, his family have said.

The father of five has four siblings and is from Eltham in south-east London.

Last year, the Metropolitan Police said his bank cards haven’t been used and there’s been no trace of him from his phone or passport.

Suzy Maltwood has previously plead for information about her older brother Shaune Jones, who was also known by the surname of West.

She has described his disappearance as “totally out of character” and says it’s having a huge impact on his family.

“It’s soul destroying. It’s been hard, my mum is really struggling. My sisters, they work so that’s keeping them occupied but for me it’s very very hard.”

PC Jim Bennett, of the safeguarding unit based in Greenwich, said: “We have not given up hope in finding out where Shaune is.

“His family are desperate to hear from him and have many questions that need to be answered.

“The latest information that we have is that Shaune may have relocated to the south west of England, but at this stage that is not confirmed.

“I urge anyone who has seen him in recent years or who knows where he is, to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or tweet @MetCC.
